Three girls: two buff girl heads visible here; in this light it's hard to tell the red from the buffs.  All are 1 week old.

An exciting day for the puppies.  They have moved into the kitchen where they can get used to lots of action and noises.  And they had their first taste of solid food - what a mess!  Did I mention that they are walking and barking?!  Too cute!

The way we play is to try to bite each other - fierce, aren't we?!  Of course, figuring out how to stand and walk take a lot of energy, too!

Some head shots above of the puppies to make you drool.  And to the right, all that playing made them very sleepy, so they take a nap in the middle of the games.

Head shots of the puppies taken on their One Month Birthday.  The silver boy looks darker in this light, and while I still call them red, the red color is lightening on those two pups and they are much more of a dark buff.  The puppies had a great time playing with Grace (age 10) and Sophia (age 5) who came over to help socialize the puppies.

Watch for photo's next week of their first hair cut.

As you can see from the above pedigree, this is a nice line breeding that doubles up on some wonderful dogs.  So far the puppies look like they will live up to all expectations and become beautiful, intelligent and good natured companions that can excel in whatever venue they are given.

Gracie's first litter whelped in 2008, sired by CH Laurents The Family Man produced five puppies.

One of those pups, Marlo, is now living with Ken & Cindy Joyce in Des Moines Iowa, and has begun her performance career by earning her Rally Novice title at 14 months old.  We are thrilled to see the performance genes from Gracie's sire, Tory, continue to stay strong in her puppies.

(Please excuse Marlo's bad hair day!)
